According to a study done by the National
Endowment for the Arts poetry readership in 17.1%
in 1992, 12.1% in 2002, and a shocking 8.3% in
2008. (http://www.newsweek.com/id/191012)

What’s going on here? What is causing poetry
readership to fall so drastically and what can be
done about it?
